Vonnell McCraw Tisdale, age 79, of Pearidge Road; Bostic, NC, died Thursday, February 2, 2012, at Mission Hospitals in Asheville, NC.

She was a native of Rutherford County. Daughter of the late Joyce & Vesti McCraw. Widow of the late George Tisdale. Vonnell was a member of First Baptist Church of Forest City. She owned and operated Peoples Quick Mart in Forest City. Was a lover of nature and collected antique pottery. She was an avid organic gardner.

She is survived by;

Two Daughters:
Susan Tisdale, Bostic, NC
Debbie Tisdale Bowman, Hickory, NC

Three Sisters:
Pat Hardin
Juanita McCraw
Sue Champion

Two Brothers:
Worth McCraw
Tom McCraw

Two Grandsons; Tyler Greene and Matt Greene
Two Great-Grandsons; Kent Greene and Jaxson Greene

Funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 5, 2012 with the Rev. Dr. Barry Keys officiating. The family will receive friends following the interment at Vonnell's home; 1940 Pearidge Road, Bostic. Interment will be at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Ellenboro, NC. Guest register at www.mcmahansfuneralhome.com. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
