Jerry P. Webb, age 70, of Lake Lure, NC, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC.
He was son of the late Clarence Webb and the late Stella Webb
He was a native of Carter County Tennessee. Jerry was chairman of the elders and a member at Fairfield Mountains Chapel. Jerry held several management positions with the Hoechst Celanese Company and after retiring from Hoechst Celanese he worked for David C. Poole Company in Greenville S.C. and was also a general manager for International Business. Jerry was a member of the National Guard and U S Army Reserves. He was a graduate of Tennnessee Technical University in Cookville, TN. and was inducted into the Elizabethton Sport Hall of Fame for high school in 2012.
He is survived by his wife Linda Webb.

A memorial service will be at the Fairfield Mountains Chapel at 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 27, 2012 with Rev. Everette Chapman officiating. Jerry's ashes will be placed in a niche in the columbarium at the Fairfield Mountains Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County; P O Box 336; Forest City, NC 28043 or Gibbs Cancer Center; 380 Serpentine Dr., Suite 200; Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
