Roy Lee Gibbons, age 76, of Greer SC formerly of Rutherfordton died on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the Pelham Medical Center in Greer. A native of Kannapolis NC he was the son of the late B.B. "Dink" Gibbons and Ruth Moon Gibbons. He was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School class of 1957, member of the Rutherfordton Masonic Lodge #91 and was a member of Southern Baptist Church in Ruth. Survivors left to love and cherish his memory are

his wife of 48 years Mary Ruth McMasters Gibbons formerly of Rutherfordton now residing in Greer SC.

Don Page and wife Becky of Knoxville, TN

The funeral service will be at Southern Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 18, 2014 with Rev. John Perry officiating. The body will lie in state 30 mins prior to the service. A visitation will follow the funeral service. A short service and entombment will be held Saturday April 19 at 2:00 PM at Graceland East Memorial Gardens 2206 Woodruff Road Simpsonville, SC 29681. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Children's Heart Foundation P.O. Box 244 Lincolnshire IL 60069, www.childrensheartfoundation.org. Online guest register at www.mcmahansfuneralhome.com. McMahan's Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
