James Rupert Honeycutt, age 76 of Rutherfordton, died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Hospice House of Rutherford County.

He was the son of the late William Saul and Bernice Henderson Honeycutt. He was the widower of the late Mary Jane Honeycutt.
Rupert was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Honeycutt-Turner Body Shop in Forest City, NC. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a beloved father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by a brother Charles Honeycutt and a sister Betty Rowe.

He is survived by

Two Daughters:
Kimberly Suzanne Honeycutt
Mary Elizabeth High and her husband Judson

Two Sisters:
Joy Turner
Gail Reid Shields

One Brother:
Billy Honeycutt

Two Grandchildren:
Kerri Beasley and
Lucy Jane High

One Great-Grandchild
Bella Jane Beasley

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, at McMahan's Funeral Home prior to the service. The Memorial service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 17, 2014.
